The club was founded in 2004 by Tony, James & Simon. After having been involved in the running of various clubs over the years, we wanted the opportunity to develop the best possible fisheries for ourselves. We are discerning anglers who enjoy all aspects of the sport and respect both our fish and the environment.

We aim to create fisheries where quality anglers whether able bodied, junior or disabled can really enjoy both their surroundings and the friendly atmosphere whilst pursuing their passion. Membership is strictly limited to ensure that the lakes are never crowded and that you will always have a wide choice of swim.

Situated close to the vibrant city of Le Mans in North West France you will find Rushes Lake, a stunningly picturesque 10 acre runs carp lake that is over 350 yrs old. The lake, along with the woods that run down one side, was originally used as a hunting venue. Part of the house that sits on the dam wall, once formed part of the original 17th century hunting lodge.

Rushes Lake is more than just another Drive & Survive venue. This idyllic lake is home to a healthy stock of pristine carp, all waiting for you, and with the luxury food package, exceptional accommodation and excellent facilities all for your sole use, you really could not want for more.

You are always assured of the warmest of welcomes at Rushes Lake.

Here at Orchard Place Farm you can surround yourself in the natural beauty of the Kent countryside, Located just outside of the picturesque town of Paddock Wood just 8 miles from Maidstone. The fishery boasts some 7 lakes (5 for specimen fishing and 2 for match fishing) We have recently expanded with another 3 new lakes, the largest being 12 acres in size.

Because our fishery is family run you can be sure of a warm friendly welcome. We do our best to cater for all anglers from the serious specimen angler to those who just want to escape for the day and leave the rat race behind . We have many swims with disabled access and have all weather pathways leading all around the lakes up to each individual swim. We also have purpose built toilets located in the main car park (this block also has hot showers) a "mess room" which contains washing up sink, microwave, toaster and a kettle, between lakes 3 and 4 (this is a toilet and sink block only) and the new block constructed by lake 7, this block also contains a microwave, kettle and toaster as well as washing up facilities (please remember to leave them clean and tidy!).

In the main car park is also a competitively priced tackle shop stocking all the often forgotten items like bait stops, hooks, weights etc not to mention all types of bait, ground bait and particle, now stocking Buzzers Baits. Food is also available on site Thurs/Sunday and is situated in the main car park. A delivery service is available at certain times so you do not even have to leave your swim.

Chart fishery is set in the middle of the Kent countryside, is stream fed from the Greensand Ridge. There are no other fisheries or lakes above us on this spring/stream system. The water quality is superb as is the fishing and, or course the fish.

In order to maintain the quality of the fish and the environment here, we ask that all visitors read the rules before commencing fishing. We also ask that before anybody books or fishes our specimen lake that they have a day on our coarse lake. This is so we can make sure that anyone fishing the specimen lake is a competent angler. Our specimen lake is not the place to "learn" the art of carp fishing.

Our bailiff (Adrian) has been an angler for in excess of 45 years and is available for any questions regarding fishing or the fishery. He can be contacted at the fishery, or by telephone on Maidstone(01622) 843987

This stunning sixteen acre gravel pit has clear blue water, excellent for your photos, and is tree lined around the entire lake set within 24 acres of beautiful French woodland and countryside. There are some lovely views across the lake to lay and gaze at from your bivvy as the sun goes down in between catching your prize carp. Most anglers who have fished here also take home some lovely shots of the lake and its borders to remind themselves and show others just how nice it really is. So many times I have spoken to other anglers on the ferries coming home after a week at some really well advertised venues only to hear that the fishing was ok but the location was just not up to scratch, to noisy, gravel works, noisy farms, pylons feet away from the pegs etc. etc.
